In conjunction with the Alice Neel exhibit “People Come First”, the DeYoung Museum put out a call to Bay Area artists who paint people. I was included in this virtual show.

Alice Neel referred to her paintings as “pictures of people,” emphasizing the humanity of her sitters. Share your own creative “pictures of people” with the de Young museum and see artwork from your community.
